Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya Maruthi College of Physical Education :
Anti-Drug Club of Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya Maruthi College of Physical Education have organized six programmes with the objective of creating a Drug-Free Tamil Nadu in between 31.07.2026 July to 16th of September, 2026.
Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya Maruthi College of Physical Education organized an Anti-Drug Awareness Programme titled “Say No to Drugs – Say Yes to Life” on 31st July 2026 at 11.30 a.m. in the Seminar Hall. The programme was organized with the objective of creating awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promoting a healthy, responsible, and drug-free lifestyle. The programme commenced with a Welcome Address delivered by Sri. K. Thiyagarajan, B.P.Ed. II Year student, who warmly welcomed the Chief Guest, dignitaries, faculty members, volunteers, and students gathered for the programme. The Chief Guest, Dr. A. Jayaraman, Assistant Professor, Department of Social Work, Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore, was formally introduced by Mr. C. Ramkumar, B.P.Ed. II Year student, who presented a brief profile of the guest and highlighted his academic and social service contributions.
Swami Virahananda Maharaj felicitated and honoured the Chief Guest as a mark of appreciation for his valuable presence and contribution to the programme. Dr. A. Jayaraman delivered an inspiring Anti-Drug Awareness Speech on the theme “Healthy Youth – Drug-Free Nation.” In his address, he emphasized the harmful impact of drug abuse on individuals, families, and society. He highlighted the importance of self-discipline, positive peer relationships, healthy habits, sports participation, education, and social responsibility in preventing drug abuse. He also encouraged students to become responsible ambassadors for creating a drug-free society and a healthier nation.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by S. Dinakaran, B.P.Ed. II Year student, who expressed sincere gratitude to the Chief Guest, Swami Virahananda Maharaj, faculty members, organizers, student volunteers, and all the participants for their valuable support and contribution towards the successful conduct of the programme.
The programme created meaningful awareness among the students and reinforced the message that youth should stay away from drugs and make positive choices for a healthy and successful future. A total of 67 B.P.Ed II NSS Volunteers and 2 faculty participated in the programme.
