Swami Shivananda Higher Secondary School stands for the ideals of purity, discipline and dedication. All works such as keeping the rooms and the campus clean, painting doors and windows, maintaing roads and playgrounds are done by students and the staff. The school believes that the physical work done efficiently is a means of educational and intellectual development.

The application forms for admission to the English Medium Section with Prospectus can be obtained from the school office. Postal Orders or Cheques will not be accepted. Original certificates should be submitted to the school at the time of admission only.
Admission
Admission shall be confirmed only after a written test and interview.
Payment of Fees
All fees should be paid within the first five working days of the academic year, after which a fine of As. 1/- per working day for one week. If the fees are not paid with fine within this period, the name of the defaulter will be struck off the rolls.
Magazine
A yearly magazine is published by the school for the benefit of the students, for which a separate fee will be collected.

School Bus
Students may avail the school bus facility, paying required bus fees every term.
Rules and regulations
- Students should be punctual to the classes and regular in attendance. Latecomers will have to pay fines or undergo punishments.
- If students are absent on the first or the last working day of a term, 5 days will be deducted from their attendance.
- Physical education is compulsory for all.
- The school authorities have the right to suspend or dismiss any student at any time from the school for the following reasons:
- Irregular Attendance
- Indifference towards studies.
- Non-observance of school rules and regulations
- Unsatisfactory progress of scholarship holders.
- Disobedience
Hostel
There is hostel attached to the school. The school, hower, does not guarantee hostel accommodation to every student who applies. Only a few seats available for meritorious students of standards VI, VII, VIII, IX and XI. Students who require hostel accommodation may contact the warden, Swami Shivananda H.S.S. Hostel.
