Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Coimbatore-20

Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya Maruthi College of Physical Education is one of the institutions in the Vidyalaya which is situated at the 20th K.M. from Coimbatore on the Coimbatore-Mettupalayam Road. COLLEGE ACTIVITIES FOR THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER 2007
EXTENSION ACTIVITY
  • Sri A. Needhiraja, Lecturer, and three students of our college acted as officials in the Polytechnic Divisional Handball Tournament on 30 th and 31 st August 2007.
  • Our college students acted as officials in the North Zone inter school Athletic Meet on 3 rd , September 2007 at our college ground.
  • Sri S. Sivasankar, Lecturer of our college acted as official in the Coimbatore District Kho-Kho championship at Coimbatore during 7 th and 8 th September 2007.
CAMP
  • Our College Leadership Training camp was held at Poondi Velliangiri Andavar Devasthanam from 2 nd to 9 th October 2007 for our B.P.Ed. and D.P.Ed. II year students.
FUNCTION
  • Teachers Day was celebrated on 5 th September 2007 at our college. Dr. V. Ramakrishnan, Reader, Vidyalaya College of Education delivered the Teacher's day address.
  • Our college Students Welfare Association celebrated Vinayagar Chaturthi Vizha on 14.09.2007, Sri K. Thangavel, Teacher, TAT Kalanilayam, delivered the special address.
STAFF ACTIVITY
  • Dr. S.T.N. Rajeswaran, and Sri V. Saminathan, Lecturers of our college attended the three day workshop on “Application of SPSS for Data Analysis” during 29 th to 31 st August 2007 organized by the Everonn System India Limited, Coimbatore .
  • Dr. STN. Rajeswaran, Lecturer (SS), presented a paper on “A Study on Relational Structures on Selected Psychological Variables of Volleyball Players at Inter collegiate Level” and Sri V.Vallimurugan, Lecturer, presented a paper on “Stress Management in Physical Education” in the National Seminar organized by the Department of Physical Education Alagappa University, Karaikudi on 14.09.2007.
  • Dr. S. Alagesan, Principal delivered a Lecture on “Physical Activity for Healthy Youth” in the NSS camp organized by the Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya College of Arts and Science on 23.09.2007.
STUDENTS ACTIVITY
  • 15 of our students completed a 10 days chess basic course organized by Layal Chess Academy at our college.
  • Manikandan, M. Sivakumar and M. Karthik, B.P.Ed. students of our college attended the Leadership Training Camp on 12.09.2007 organized by the M.R. PAJ Foundation, Mumbai at Coimbatore .
  • Our students acted as official in the Pricol inter department Cricket tournament on 16 th and 23 rd September 2007.
SPORTS
  • Our college organized Tamilnadu Physical Education and Sports University 's Inter Collegiate Tournament in Cricket, Handball, Shuttle Badminton and Table Tennis (Men) during 6 th and 7 th September 2007.

  • Dr. B. Ramachandra Reddy, observer from Tamilnadu Physical Education and Sports University was the Chief Guest and distributed the certificates.
  • In the Tamilnadu Physical Education and Sports University Inter Collegiate Kho-Kho tournament our college team secured Runners up position on 13.09.2007 organised by Gnanamani College of Physical Education, Namakkal.
