ELIGIBILITY
Candidate for admission to the PG Diploma should have passed any bachelor degree
examination from a recognized university or accepted by the syndicate as equivalent there to.
* For PGDSO, the candidate must possess a UG degree in physical education recognised by NCTE.
COURSE OF STUDY Candidates shall be permitted to do the PG Diploma course concurrently with
their Degree. The course of study shall comprise theoretical classes. The medium of instruction will be English.
GRADING SYSTEM
A candidate shall be declared to have passed in each paper if he secures not
less than 50% of the prescribed maximum marks for (1) continuous internal assessment and (2) the
University Examination. He shall be declared to have passed the whole examination and qualified for
the Diploma if he passes in all the eight papers. In practical and practice teaching a candidate shall be
declared to have passed if he gets not less than 50 % marks in internal and external examinations.
Those who secure 60% or above of the maximum marks shall be declared to have passed in First
class. Those who secure 50% or above but below 60% shall be declared to have passed in Second
Class.
SCOPE |
Through these courses (PG Diploma / Diploma in Special Olympics) we anticipate a whole new generation of volunteers for Special Olympics as coaches, trainers, organizers and spokespersons.
Students who successfully complete the PG Diploma/Diploma in Special Olympics are also given an opportunity to attend accreditation program of the Special Olympics Asia Pacific to be ‘National Trainers'. This enables the students to train National Teams in their area of specialization. All the graduates of the 2006-07 were declared National Trainers. |
