ELIGIBILITY
|
Any candidate possessing +2 (Higher secondary pass) qualification with 45% marks is eligible for admission in the Certificate Course in Physical Education. Those who possess participation certificate in state and national level sports events, the minimum percentage of marks in +2 should be 40%. |
ADMISSION PROCEDURE

PROJECT SPORTS |
|
Every year students are provided academic credits for successful execution of project sports. A group of students are given the responsibility of organising and officiating a sports meet and tournament in nearby institutions (100 marks). The first year students must compulsorily undergo following specialised trainings.

SCOUT TRAINING - Ten days Intensive Scout Teaching is compulsory for students in first year and carries 100 marks. The training will be provided by the Bharat Scouts and Guides, Tamil Nadu, a registered body.

TALENT SEARCH IDENTIFICATION PRACTICE - Orientation in the latest test procedures for identification of talent for a sports for children shall be provided for CPEd students. In turn, they have to conduct field trials for schools for a duration of 10 days (100 marks).
The second year students must compulsorily undergo following specialised training.

PRACTICE TEACHING - Undergoing Intensive Practice Teaching in neighbouring schools is compulsory for students in second year (100 marks).

ANNUAL LEADERSHIP CAMP - Each student shall undergo a 10 days Residential Annual Leadership Training Camp in an evergreen forest organised by the Faculty (100 marks).

| UNIFIED PLAY FESTIVAL |
| Each student must go integrated schools having both normal and disabled children to train them in various physical activities, play therapy, yogic asans, etc. for a period of 15 days and bring these trainees to the Faculty campus for a combined mass drill (100 marks compulsory activity). |
